Reading
We expect the children to be reading up to 20 minutes at least 5 times a week. This can include independent reading as well as reading aloud to an adult. Please ensure you question your children about what they have read to check their understanding. We allow the children in Year 5 to change their books as and when necessary providing their reading records have been signed by an adult.

We expect the children to learn their spellings using the look, cover, write, check method whilst ensuring their handwriting is formed correctly.
