Admission Appeals

On 24 April 2020 the Government released guidelines for schools to follow with regards to the hearing of admission appeals during the pandemic.  Those guidelines have recently been extended by the Government to be in place until 30 September 2021.  Therefore appeals lodged by parents/carers this year in relation to refusal of a place at Thomas of Canterbury Catholic School  will be held virtually.


Parents must complete the online application via Thurrock Admission Department during the period 2nd November 2020 to 15th January 2021

Certificates of Catholic Practice/Supplementary Information Forms must be with the school by the closing date of 15th January 2021 at 4pm for Reception intake 2021

Mid-Year School Application

To make an application for a school place, you should complete an on-line application to Thurrock Council at

As we are a Catholic School and our own Admission Authority, you will need to complete supply a Certificate of Catholic Practice from your Parish Priest if you are a practising Catholic, alternatively you should complete a Supplementary Information Form (for non-Catholic families) to support your application for a primary school place. These should be sent directly to the school along with a copy of your child's Baptismal Certificate should also be sent to the school.
