Science: Shadow investigation: Do our shadows change over the course of the day?
Today we had a home safety talk. We learnt a lot about how to keep safe.
3T table champions: Last week, Lisbon won the table championship. Their behaviour, work and application to learning earned them the most points over the course of the week. Well done to the children, who are able to choose their reward, from bringing in a toy for the day to working with a laptop for a lesson.

Delicious taste testing in 3T!!
World Book day in 3T
Year 3 investigated what plants need to be able to grow well. 3S grew hyacinths and 3V grew miniature daffodils. We had a control plant and each of the other plants had ONE thing taken away to make the test fair (Water, light, warmth) We measured them each week and kept a record of our results. Then we were able to create graphs and draw our conclusions using excel and word. Our plants are going to be put outside for everyone to enjoy.

3S - EXPLORING MAGNETS IN SCIENCE. In science with Miss McAnally, we have been exploring magnets and finding out about the magnetic field that attracts some metals to them.
3V DRAMA- We looked at Colossians 3:12-17 with Miss McAnally and thought about how we could live out the scripture in our daily lives. We showed this through Drama.
Colour mixing and Monet 27.9.16: In art this term, 3T have been mixing the primary colours in order to make secondary colours. This week they mixed black and white in order to make different shades and tints for their paintings. Using Monet as an inspiration the children created their own versions of Monet's lilies.
