Year 6

Monday - beds made, dinner was amazing. "The best lasagne ever!" Obstacle challenge and scrap heap challenge! All good fun. Looking forward to breakfast.

Tuesday - "Lovely croissants," leap of faith, 3G swing, buggy building and nightline. We've learnt how to tie knots that will stay in place when we use them for our buggy. 3G swing caused us to scream very loudly and fears were conquered during the leap of faith.

Wednesday - Full English breakfast and roast dinner today - lovely. We've enjoyed high equilibrium, aeroball, archery, chariots and fencing. We had a choice this evening, campfire or football! We enjoyed the campfire sing off and we enjoyed some of the football!

Thursday - abseiling, climbing, fencing and aerial runway today. Another full day of activities, an early night is needed tonight!

Grosvenor Hall Timetable 2018

Grosvenor Hall meeting 20.6.18

Week beginning 4.7.18

Many of the pupils in year six will be taking part in their secondary transition this week. We will be looking at Shakespeare stories in school and creating Greek structures and mythical creatures.

In 6C we have been exploring the apparatus and finding ways to travel,  balance and jump.  Once we had discovered the different ways of using the apparatus we split into groups, our task was to put together apparatus that would enable us to travel, balance and jump. Once we had prepared our apparatus, we moved from station to station to try out the apparatus other groups had put together.

Maths workshop 27.11.17

Year 6 had some different pupils on Monday afternoon! We invited our parents and grandparents in to let them see what we do in maths. We solved problems, completed investigations and showed off our calculation skills to the adults. Everybody enjoyed the themselves. The children relished the challenge of demonstrating their skills and the parents appreciated the chance to see us learning in school. Thank you for supporting us.
We had a very noisy day on Thursday with our Samba Music Day. We learnt to play new instruments and practised rhythms. At the end of the day we performed for each other. We were all very interested and learnt lots about Samba that we will use in our lessons. Please see the newsletter for more details.
