At St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School, we believe in giving the children roles and responsibilities to encourage independence. 

We learn, achieve and love following Jesus. 

Year 6 children are given the opportunity to become Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl and are encouraged to work as an example of what the model child at St Thomas' should be. They are expected to set an example to all students in our school and assist the Headteacher where necessary.

As head boy, my responsibilities in this school are to spread our mission statement to others and be a role model for the lower year groups. I work with all the ambassadors and teachers to help create a safe and exciting place to be in whilst proving to visitors that our school is the perfect place for them. I ensure that assemblies and collective worships run smoothly and as well as possible. My one goal is to make sure everyone learns and achieves following Jesus.

As head girl, my duty is to help guide the school on the right path. I will be a role model to students and do what is right by modelling the school mission statement, ‘We learn, achieve and love following Jesus’. I help to lead assemblies and take part in making sure they run well. I will try to help others and be a part of all our school communities and do this along with our school an faith ambassadors.
