Parental Survey from the Family Information Service

Do you currently use childcare, work with families who use or could benefit from childcare, or have family members using childcare in Thurrock?


The Family Information Service (FIS), is looking to gather parents/carers views in relation to the current/future childcare needs across Thurrock.

FIS is inviting parents/carers to complete the Parental Survey, link below.  This will assist the Local Authority in identifying gaps in early years education and/or childcare in Thurrock.

  • If they use informal childcare, such as grandparent/s, extended family, friends and neighbours. School activity clubs e.g. netball/football


  • If they use more formal, registered childcare as below.

Sessional Childcare and/or Early Years Education - pre-school, school nursery class childminder, breakfast club, after school club,

Full daycare Childcare and/or Early Years Education- private/voluntary day nursery, childminder, school nursery, holiday club


The Survey runs from 30th November 2015 until 15th January 2016

The Family Information Service would greatly appreciate you highlighting, encouraging, and were necessary support, parents/carers you work with in your Local Authority role, where appropriate, to complete this survey.
