On Thursday 7th March we had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. The children were so excited to dress up as their favourite book character and to spend the day learning about authors. Mrs Poulteney was delighted to see such fantastic entries into our wooden spoon character competition! All winners have received a book as a prize! We also had the opportunity to hear from the authors Alex and Kayleigh Barber and illustrator Tayaa Griffith. The author Thomas Leeds returned to answer question from our new Reading Ambassadors and host workshops for Year 5 pupils. In a world full of electrical devices, days such as these are so important to remind us all of the importance of reading to allow our minds to wander into a world of imagination and be curious of the unknown!
