Jack Trelawny Visits Us

Tuesday afternoon saw 450 very excited children from Yrs 2 – 6 waiting in the hall to listen to our visiting author Jack Trelawny. He shared with the children how he gets his inspiration for the books he writes; the children heard how he uses his family, places he knows well and animals both real and imaginary. The children were enthralled and at the end asked some excellent questions. We were delighted with the response he got from the children and the support you gave to the children to enable them to purchase signed copies of his books at the end. The queue stretched the length of the hall and beyond and Jack signed the books for almost an hour – which was amazing. By now all the children should have received their books apart from one book which is currently being reprinted and will arrive shortly – this is a shame, however it shows how popular his stories are.

In the meantime, please take a look at some of our photos......
